I have been working with Jostens Yearbooks since 1983, when I began as a rep in North Dakota. Three years later I moved to Rochester, Minnesota where I have been helping yearbook staffs in southeastern Minnesota create memory keepsakes since then."
I took over the Summer Workshop at Gustavus Adolphus College in 1986 and helped it grow from 50 to approximately 200 students and advisers. Now seven Jostens yearbook representatives help with the area's premier yearbook journalism workshop. We are proud to offer one of the best rep-run workshops in the country. It offers journalism, technology, business, photography, and layout training with a nationally-known keynote speaker and numerous break-out sessions."
I really enjoy working with students to help them learn and grow throughout their yearbook career. Working with kids from elementary school through college, I get to see a wide range of ideas and skills. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't learn something new, too! I even have a couple of advisers who were editors on their high school yearbooks and I worked with them then.
I have a simple philosophy when it comes to working with my customers: do what you say you are going to do. That means if I tell someone something, it will get done. It is a privilege for me to work with each and every school I partner with in southeastern Minnesota. I value their loyalty and appreciate the friendships I have developed with my advisers and students.
