When I started out as a reluctant yearbook advisor, the one thing that my principal knew for sure was that our Jostens sales rep would be able to help me because she had been the only constant over the last couple of years as the advisers had been changing that quickly. I first met Sherri Loney about two weeks before school started, and immediately, I felt better about my situation. Not only is Sherri a wonderful person, she makes my job easier.
Every year, Sherri stops by my classroom to meet with the students and guide them through Jostens awesome software. In addition, she takes the time to meet with the editors to give feedback and share creative ideas, which is very empowering for those students to meet with a professional and discuss how they are managing the production of their publication. Every time Sherri and I talk, she shares new ideas about how to increase sales or make the experience of teaching and advising the yearbook easier, which I really appreciate because it keeps me engaged and helps me to be a better teacher.
As I enter my 5th year of teaching yearbook, I am both excited and knowledgeable about teaching and advising yearbook because of the great help from Sherri and Jostens. Sherri's flexibility and willingness to make sure that our needs are always met has made the decision to work with Jostens a no-brainer. When my school's technology team was having a hard time getting the software to work with our system, Sherri came to the rescue and got us switched to Yeartech On-line well after the school year had started, which saved us a lot of headaches. Sherri and our plant supervisor, Judy, have always helped when deadlines were getting tight, or when a situation arises that could be mountain of problems, they always help to make sure it does not get too big.

Yearbook re/plant staff: I have worked with Sherri Loney for over five years, and every year she has consistently supported my yearbook staff. She visits the classroom several times a year showing new covers, brainstorming design and theme ideas, proofing, educating and motivating my students. She is always available to help me with whatever situation I am currently facing. When facing financial challenges, Sherri has worked with us and offered good options. Software: Sherri introduced me to Yeartech Online, which has worked very well for my school. Using Yeartech Online eliminated the need to purchase expensive software which would have been necessary to produce a quality yearbook and to make the conversion to digital pictures. Each year Jostens has made significant improvements to Yeartech Online and added many cutting edge features. New students also find it easy to learn and navigate. I appreciate a "user friendly" program, and I am very glad the days of paper layouts are behind us!
